Meet Abdur R. Yasin, Your Candidate

Abdur Yasin is a 24-year firefighter, lifelong Democrat, and Chair of the West Orange Democratic Committee. Under his leadership, the organization has achieved historic gains in voter turnout and grassroots organizing, strengthening the Democratic presence in the community. In addition to his public service, Abdur serves as a lecturer at Rutgers University–Newark’s School of Public Affairs and Administration, where he has helped educate and mentor many of today’s public servants. His career reflects a deep commitment to service, leadership, and delivering results for Essex County.
