Abdur R. Yasin

A lifetime of service. A record of leadership. A vision for Essex County.

Abdur Yasin is a 24-year firefighter, lifelong West Orange resident, and Chair of the West Orange Democratic Committee. He has led record gains in voter turnout and grassroots organizing while also serving as a lecturer at Rutgers University–Newark. He currently serves as Vice President of NJFMBA Local 228 and is a member of the Rutgers Adjunct Faculty Union (PTLFC-AAUP-AFT Local 6324). His career is defined by service, leadership, and delivering results for Essex County.
